Young Scholars Fund (DEYSF)
The fund exists, in memory of the Rev Dr Donald English, to promote the study of Wesleyan Evangelical Theology, particularly amongst young people.
We offer small grants to a maximum total of £1000 per person (Multiple applications can be made by the same person, but the total granted is capped at £1000), to support the studies of young scholars in any field of theology. As the fund exists to promote Wesleyan Evangelical Scholarship within the Wesleyan tradition, applicants should be in sympathy with the beliefs of MET:Revive.
Grants are not awarded for course fees but can be given towards the associated expenses of study, such as travel, accommodation, books, software. Grant recipients are required to report back to the trustees regarding the use of the money within one year of receiving the award. The trustees also require an outline of study progress and a copy of any publications which result from the supported study.
Applicants must:

Be aged 45 or under when applying

Be in sympathy with the beliefs of MET:Revive.

Be working on a specific project or attending a recognised course for which support is needed

Be committed to providing us with feedback on the study and willing to acknowledge our funding in any publication arising from the studies

Have not exceeded the grant limit of £1000 per applicant.
